June 7th at about noon and having no idea what was ahead of us. Hence the big smile. :)
Every time I looked at Courtney she had this big smile so I asked to make it look like she was in the typical labor. Little did we know that it was soon coming.
Still cool as a cucumber. For now.
Mary Teresa and Kerry came by but thankfully they would not wait in the waiting room cuz that would have been 35 hours later.
This was our view of each other when I was in my seat.
And she was in the bed.
Still smiling.
And then not so smiley.
Shelby was our doula and a great help. Very supportive but with a woman's touch that I think was a nice balance for Courtney.
Getting late and I'm a little less cool at this point. More stress and less sleep.
I love these pics when we catch each other in between poses or off guard.
These are AFTER the epidural.
And Rowan is just minutes away.
Just seconds after she was born.
